Our latest show in Kew’s The Petal Pusher café features a selection of works by multi-talented artist Tim Walton.
The exhibition highlights his enveloping and atmospheric latest oils as well as recent drawings and graphic mixed media pieces. Tim, who studied painting at the Royal College of Art, combines an old-school attitude to fine art with accomplished drawings and beautifully executed oils. He has a refined approach to light and shade, and tonality. These skills are perfectly blended with subtle touches of surrealism which bring refreshing notes of irony, irreverence and humour to some of the works.
Part of the artist’s versatility stems from his lengthy career in the film industry, working on design and special effects on a number of high profile movies including Superman 3, Batman Begins, Space Jam and Les Misérables. Look him up on IMDB to find out more.
Also on show, a handful of Tim’s striking and sensitive portraits in pencil on paper and oil on canvas. With the exclusion of some of these, all of the work is for sale. Contact us if you’re interested in commissioning a piece of your own whether a portrait, landscape or other work.
Opening hours for the exhibition are Mon – Sat: 8:30 am – 4:00. The Petal Pusher, 235 Sandycombe Road, Kew, Richmond, Surrey, TW9 2EW. Times may vary so please check before you plan your visit. You can call the café on 020 8287 1651. Stay on for coffee, a selection of teas, fine wines and delicious freshly prepared food.
